Southern Belle + Baby Belle Bow Patterns

Materials

  • Worsted Wight Yarn.. I used I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby. You can crochet with one color, two colors for a two toned look or multiple colors for vertical stripes! I make them using cotton yarn as well. πŸƒ
  • G Hook (4.25mm)
  • Scissors
  • Yarn/tapestry needle
  • Nylon headband or elastic to attach the bow to.

Visit http://www.heartsprinkle.com to purchase the awesome ergonomic crochet hooks that I use regularly!

Stitches:

  • Chain Stitch (CS)
  • Half Double Crochet (HDC)
  • Single Crochet (SC)
  • Slip Stitch

Notes:

  • I work in a continuous round.
  • I do not chain one before going into the next stitch.
  • We will complete 25 CS, 16 total rounds of HDC & one round of SC, all containing 25 stitches each.
  • For this tutorial, we will complete a two toned bow. For a solid bow, chain 25, 16 rounds of HDC & one round of SC with no color change.
  • Please credit my blog on your social media accounts if you share or sell items even if you change the pattern. Thank you for respecting the time I’ve put into this pattern. πŸŽ€

Pattern:

  • Chain 25
  • Join last stitch with first stitch by using  a slip stitch.
  • Crochet 8 rounds of HDC with first color.
  • Work in a continuous round. Do not chain one to begin a new round.
  • Do a color change at the end of the 8th round and continue working 8 additional rounds of HDC with second color.
  • Finish by completing one round of SC around the 16th round of HDC.
  • Slip stitch into the last stitch and sew in the ends.
  • Cut long piece of yarn.
  • Turn bow horizontally. Pinch the center & tie in between the two colors.
  • Attach to headband.
  • I recommend nylon or elastic for this bow. It is a heavier bow and needs support.
